African Bushveld Wedding in Limpopo with Iain and Debra

Worth the wait: Iain and Debra's African destination wedding in Limpopo.

In the words of the best man, "Five lockdowns, four variants, three vaccines, and two hemispheres to get here today." It's been quite the journey that started with a couple of messages in 2019, a portrait session, and a few postponements until we all very excitedly arrived at the African destination wedding of Iain and Debra at Monate Game Lodge in the African bushveld.

The couple had originally planned to get married in 2020, but the pandemic had other plans. They postponed their wedding a couple of times but never gave up hope. In the end, their patience and perseverance paid off. Their wedding day was everything they had ever dreamed of and more.

The ceremony was held under a tree in the bushveld, where the bride looked radiant in her wedding dress. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones, and their emotional exchange and happiness was contagious.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed sundowners in the veld while we were out creating magical portraits in the reserve. The evening reception followed, with toasts, a traditional braai dinner under the African sky, and a party late into the evening.

The wedding was a truly magical event, and the amazing weather and incredible atmosphere made it a unique experience to photograph.
